Here is my tribute to the Stephen Antonakos' neon installation at the Tacoma Dome. A place I have spent a considerable amount of time, especially when there used to be a hockey team in town. Say what you want about abstract art, but this remains one of my favorite art pieces I've seen. It's wild to think that maybe the haters could've won, and I wouldn't have seen one of these installations until I moved to Philly.

Porting an art installation

This is one of those side-quest projects I have been telling myself to do and I finally did it. It was a great excuse to use Inkscape for more than 10 minutes at a time. Overall, it was a lot easier than I anticipated, and it looks better than I thought it would. Each layer has been exported to its own SVG element, created a component for each layer, and used Tailwind to style and position them. There are a *few* inaccuracies in my interpretation and I think that comes down to how Inkscape exported the SVGs and I have been getting diminishing returns as I continue to tweak how those are structured.
